Back to Black...

This little suitcase was originally red, but thanks to some paper, and a generous dose of black paint, its now just the way I like it.

Inside there are little spaces for keeping photos and things:

a little accordian album:

and more little albums in plastic pockets:

Lots of my space for a friend to put all her holiday snaps.
Hope she likes black too!

Multi-Layered Album

Hello! Happy Monday! School has started again for the kids. We all had a nice break this past week and everyone is now trying to get back into the swing of things again. (some more grumpily than others...heh).

Here's a cheery project to chase away the monday blues:
This project was for a class in August - a mini album with three 'layers'.

This is how it opens:

Here's the first 'layer' that flips down (lots of pages for photos inside):

Behind that is the next 'layer' that opens like this: (with more pages for photos of course)

And lastly the tallest layer that opens like this:

Just in case you were wondering, this album is made with the 7gypsies Board Kit: Tryptich House, LOTS of cardstock, pattern papers and embellishments from Basic Grey's What's Up collection, patterns from Sassafrass and also Hambly overlays for hinges and 'window glass.

Have a great week ahead!

Graphic45 Matchbox and Liz Hicks Blog Hop

Fun stuff is up on the Graphic45 blog today...

1) A blog hop with Liz Hicks - just hop on over to her blog and leave a comment to try winning for yourself a lovely G45 prize.

2) A fun project I made with the new G45 Matchbook box:
made with lovely papers from Graphic45's ABC primer collection - one of my favourites...
The matchbook box slides open to reveal lots of little compartments for the kiddies to store all their little treasures and finds...
And here's a picture showing you that scrapbooking is mathematical...  I had to do quite a bit of calculation for this project....but in a fun way :)
You can read more about some additional ideas and the supplies used in this project on the Graphic45 blog post.

sorry I can't chat too much.... in a bit of a hurry. We're off fishing tomorrow! Catch you when we get back!
