Inspired by Wedgewood China

Can you tell that this quick and simple little book
was inspired by this? (ok, maybe just the colour scheme)
The cover is made from brown envelopes lined with sticky back canvas. And closes with a ribbon wrap.
I think the papers from majadesign's Life in the Country collection are quite 'wedgewood' don't you think?
And incidentally, over at scrapforhelp, the challenge for May is to use recycled envelopes, so this might be a fun idea to try. :)

Happy Sunday all!

Our New Place

Hey ho!
Sorry I haven't been by in a while. Just wanted to pop in and tell you that our new classroom at PaperMarket Plaza Singapura (in Basement 1) is ready!!! (er...except for a few more boxes lying around).
And I made a few framed signs to hang on the happy orange classroom wall just for fun... (they say "Don't stress, just scrap"... "Not so straight, never mind"...and my favourite: "Inky hands are happy hands")
So, come May, I'll be teaching at Plaza Singapura on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Come visit K?

Ready and Raring to Go!

I'm done with my final project for May classes:
It's a mixed-page string-bound canvas-covered book...(wow, that was a mouthful).  Done in girly vintage style with Pink Paislee's London Market collection.  It's not exactly bookbinding...no sewing...but we are putting the book together from scratch so that will be fun!

I actually really love the back cover best...
Really looking forward to teaching these classes in May. Will keep you posted about the venue and timings... See you real soon!

Things on My Table...

1.  A vintage metal case for May:
2.  Three happy layouts using Echo Park "This & That" collection (also for May):

and by May I mean the month, not some mysterious woman who is getting all my scrapbooking projects... which means I'm back to designing classes again!  This time for PaperMarket.  I'll let you know exactly which outlet once everything's confirmed.  It will be good to see everybody again. :)

3.  Baboo's shoes - which are getting their soles repaired - Beacon's to the rescue!

Things on My Plate:
1. Helping the Critters prepare for the coming exams in May
2. One more project for May classes
3. Design Team projects
4.  And perhaps a haircut when I get irritated enough by the weather...

The days are just packed!

Getting a-Round to It

Layout for April's challenge at scrapforhelp..... use buttons!
All papers from majadesign's "Life in the Country" collection - I used only the red ones to keep the 'chaos' manageable.

Puns that Amuse me:
1.  Beth's bear is called "Checks" - hence the checked background paper
2.  Beth's knickname is "Li'l Bear" or "Beary"....so title has double meaning.

I am easily amused....hahaha.
